Taylor Buchanan

Provisionally Licensed Therapist, MS, PLMHP

Taylor is a provisionally licensed mental health practitioner. Taylor graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science in Child, Youth, and Family Studies in 2015. Shortly after graduating, he began a career in the insurance and financial investment field. In 2021, he decided it was time to pursue his passion for helping others and applied for graduate school at Bellevue University. He graduated from Bellevue in 2024 with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Taylor has experience working with a variety of concerns related to anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+, trauma, interpersonal skills, self-esteem, and stress management. He works from a person-centered approach and utilizes mindfulness-based cognitive behavior therapy, attachment theory, and other techniques to meet each client’s unique needs. He practices from a trauma-informed lens and is qualified to utilize EMDR.

He strives to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and accepted for who they are. He is LGBTQIA+ and polyamorous affirming.

Taylor enjoys watching the NFL, Big Ten football, volleyball, and basketball outside the office. He also enjoys going for walks, doing yoga, trying new food, and spending time with friends and family.
