Lucas Chamberlain
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, APRN-NP, PMHNP-BC
Lucas is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adolescents and adults ages 12 and older. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Nebraska Methodist College in 2022 and his Master’s degree in Nursing from Clarkson College in 2025.
Lucas began his psychiatric career as a registered nurse on the adult inpatient psychiatry unit at Bryan Health, caring for patients experiencing severe depression, mania, psychosis, suicidal crisis, and acute withdrawal. Since completing his Master’s degree, he has practiced in outpatient and community crisis behavioral health settings, evaluating and treating patients with mood disorders, PTSD, psychotic disorders, ADHD, and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Lucas takes a thorough and transparent approach to medication management. He looks for the underlying cause rather than treating symptoms in isolation, and he explains the reasoning behind his recommendations. Many of the people he works with have tried medications before that did not help, and he treats what they learned from those experiences as information worth building on.
Outside of his practice, Lucas spends time with his family, travels to Brazil whenever he can, and can usually be found either at the gym or somewhere in Lincoln eating a cheeseburger. He is still looking for the best one and welcomes recommendations.
