Katherine Sitler-Elbel

Provisionally Licensed Therapist, MSW, PLMHP, PCMSW

Katherine is a provisionally licensed mental health practitioner and provisionally certified master of social work. Katherine graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Environmental Science in 2018. She went on to pursue her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska-Omaha where she graduated in 2024.

Prior to private practice, Katherine has experience in diverse community settings and has worked with both adults and children. She has worked as a case manager, family support worker and mental health coordinator with several Omaha-area nonprofits. Katherine specializes in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, domestic violence, and other trauma. Katherine utilizes interpersonal psychotherapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing with a trauma-informed perspective to promote self-reflection and growth. Katherine aims to create a safe and collaborative environment where clients can navigate their challenges and move toward healing.

Outside of work, Katherine enjoys spending time with her cats and her friends, trying new crafts, watching reality TV and thrift shopping.
