Dulce Clarence

Clinical Director, MS, LIMHP, LMHC, LPC

Dulce is a licensed independent mental health practitioner. She graduated Cum Laude and was a Ronald McNair Scholar at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has a BS in Criminal Justice and minor in Psychology. She went on to pursue a Master of Science in Health Services and a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University in 2010 and 2012. Dulce is also a licensed provider in Iowa and Texas.

Prior to private practice, she worked as a Behavioral Health Director practicing integrated care in family practice and established the behavioral health department in the clinic. She supervised provisional therapists, conducted staff trainings, and facilitated groups in the community. She worked in quality compliance for Probation Administration that ensured fiscal responsibility of governmental resources. Dulce also worked in treatment settings with adults and in public schools with adolescents. In her undergraduate and graduate studies, she worked as a researcher and faculty assistant.

Dulce specializes in personality disorders, co-occurring disorders, bipolar disorders, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Dulce utilizes trauma-informed care along with dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing. Her client populations are adults, couples, and neurodivergent individuals.

In her spare time, Dulce spends time with her son, draws, takes walks, enjoys finding new recipes to cook, and using her podcast, Voice In Your Head, to teach and help others.
