Mariah Hintz

In 2020, Mariah earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Art, from Northwest Missouri State University. She later earned her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Avila University in 2022, with a concentration in child and adolescent therapy.

Mariah has experience as a residential therapist, working with middle school and high school age students. She also has experience working in outpatient therapy services with children and adolescents. Mariah utilizes Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and often incorporates Play Therapy interventions into her practice. Mariah is passionate about serving the mental health needs of children, adolescents, teens, and their families.

Mariah focuses her work around a person-centered approach and encourages clients (and parents) to be invested in their therapeutic journey. Mariah takes pride in creating a friendly, non-judgmental space for clients to be heard, known, and empowered. Mariah believes that solid, authentic rapport is the most important part of a therapeutic relationship and is vital to success in therapy.

In her free time, Mariah enjoys painting, being outdoors, spending time with family, and playing with pets.
