Jamie graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Gerontology. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Doane University in 2022. Jamie has had years of experience in the geriatric field, including specialized work in both hospice and dementia centers, and remains passionate about accompanying adults in aging with dignity. Jamie received extensive grief training during her clinical internship and her biggest passion in the field is eliminating the assumptions and stereotypes surrounding grief while companioning those who are grieving in an individualized and person-centered manner. In addition, Jamie has clinical experience working with clients facing challenges that accompany intimate relationship concerns (monogamous and non-monogamous), self-worth concerns, life transitions, and her other service areas. Jamie utilizes existential and person-centered approaches as well as Narrative Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques.

Making the decision to begin therapy can be difficult and complicated and Jamie is passionate about making the process as smooth as possible. She is quick to form trusting relationships with clients and provides a safe space for clients to be who they are, where they are. Jamie firmly believes that our pasts do not dictate our future. We have the power to author our own stories no matter where we are starting from.

In her free time, Jamie can be found with her husband marveling at their child. She is obsessed with musical theater (and fully committed to belting the soundtracks pretty off-key) and all things books.
